La galette Saintonge

A receipe which has been in the family for many years. A speciality from Saintes in the Nouvelle Aquitaine.
Very easy to do, and delicious. You can have this at the end of a meal, with the coffee or at tea time.

Bake also your own galette Saintonge !
 Ingredients
๐Ÿ‘‰ 500g de farine - flour
๐Ÿ‘‰ 250g de beurre - butter

๐Ÿ‘‰ 250g de sucre - sugar
๐Ÿ‘‰ 2 or 3 ล“ufs - eggs
๐Ÿ‘‰ Zeste de citron - lemon zest
๐Ÿ‘‰ 1/2 paquet de levure - yeast packet
๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 cuillรจre ร  cafรฉ de sel - tea spoon salt

Recipe
✔️ Preheat the oven to 180° (Ther 6)

✔️ In a bowl, mix all the ingredients (keep some egg yolk apart)
✔️
Make a big pie like the photo or small pies - 1 cm thickness
✔️ Brush with the egg yolk kept apart
✔️ In the oven for approx 30 minutes. Start maybe with 20 minutes first.
NB : In our family, we always multiply the here-above quantities by 2.
