The 18 French Regions

France, a country with 18 regions sometimes very different from each other.

- 13 regions for the "Métropole" (on the European "continent")

  1. Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
  2. Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
  3. Bretagne
  4. Centre-Val de Loire
  5. Corse
  6. Grand Est
  7. Hauts de France
  8. Ile de France
  9. Normandie
  10. Nouvelle Aquitaine
  11. Occitanie
  12. Pays de la Loire
  13. Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur (Région Paca)

- 5 regions Outre-Mer (*)
  1. Guadeloupe
  2. Martinique
  3. Guyane
  4. La Réunion
  5. Mayotte
(*)  Outre-Mer meaning beyond the sea. These regions are miles away from the Métropole.
The Métropole is the big part you see on the map, together with Corsica, the Island in green in the south of France and Italy.

Every Thursday, follow the discovery of one region.
Enjoy and maybe use this quarantine period to prepare your future week-ends or holidays in some of them, when we will be able to travel again !
